Getting Started
Browse the Exhibit Guides section below and find the department that best fits what you plan to enter — Arts & Crafts, Needlework, Culinary, Garden & Agriculture, or Educational Displays.
Open the exhibit guide for your department. Each guide lists every available category, class, and lot, and includes all department-specific rules near the end.
Write down the exact Department, Division, Class, and Lot numbers for each item you plan to enter. You will need these numbers to complete online registration.
When registration opens, submit your entries online. One form covers all departments. You will receive a confirmation email with a website tracking reference after submitting.
Bring your physical exhibits to the fairgrounds during the official check-in window for your department. Check-in dates and times will be announced as the fair approaches.

Each exhibit department has its own categories, classes, lots, instructions, deadlines, and rules. Review the complete guide for your department before registering. The guide PDF is the official source for all rules and class information.
The reference number in your confirmation email is a website tracking number only — it is not your official Exhibitor ID. Your official Exhibitor ID is assigned separately by the fair after your entry is processed through the exhibit management program.

Framed paintings in acrylic, oils, watercolor, charcoal, colored pencil, and mixed media — both professional and non-professional divisions. Also includes ceramics, sculpture, and rock art.

Canvas art, free-hand drawing, oils and acrylics, watercolor, pastels, painting on wood, pottery, and zentangle. Classes are separated by grade level (6th grade & under; 7th–12th grade).

Jewelry, wood crafts, metal crafts, paper crafts, scrapbooking, fabric crafts, floral arrangements, home décor, and more. Multiple classes cover a wide range of handmade items.

Handmade candles, decorated ceramics, jewelry, leather craft, origami, woodworking, weaving, nature crafts, and creative projects. Organized by grade level including a separate class for 8 years old & under.

People, animals, nature, scenic, and special-interest categories. Classes include portraits, children at play, pets, wildlife, landscapes, nightscapes, and more. Entries must be amateur work not previously shown at WTSF.

Animal, flower, landscape, waterscape, portrait, and West Tennessee Event categories. Divided into two classes: 6th grade & under, and 7th–12th grade. Includes a Best of Show lot.

Friendship quilts, vintage quilts (50+ years old), hand-pieced, machine-pieced, and combination quilting methods. Includes a Best of Show lot. Check-in is Sunday of fair week.

Sewn garments for babies (0–24 months), children (2–16 years), and adults (17+). Includes bibs, dresses, blouses, coats, aprons, and smocked outfits. Judged on workmanship, decoration, and originality.

Crocheted items, cross stitch, knitted items, doll clothes, pillows, pillowcases, dresses, separates, and recycled clothing items. Youth may also enter the Adult Division if a lot is not available in Youth.

Bread, cakes, candies, cookies, and pies — multiple classes and lots for each. Includes banana bread, pound cake, fudge, chocolate chip cookies, fruit pies, and more.

Pumpkin, watermelon, and ornamental gourd classes for youth growers. Youth may enter the Adult Division if a lot is not available in the Youth Division.

Corn, cotton, soybeans, and hay. Judged on size, uniformity, and quality. Ear corn must be wired together in a pyramid. Includes a Best of Show lot.
